CALIENTE FINISH REGULAR SEASON WITH A WIN
(October 9th, 2004) In the last home game of the Arizona Caliente 2004 Season, the Caliente finished strong with a victory over the LA Amazons. All though the young LA team has improved greatly from the two teams first match-up early in the season, the Caliente held strong to prove why they are still in the playoff race. Congrats to the Caliente on a tough schedule, as the team finishes 6-4 for the regular season.

DIAMONDS TAKE THE HEAT OUT OF THE CALIENTE
(September 18th, 2004) From the Diamonds score on their first possesion to the final whistle, the Dallas team took control of the game and wouldn't let go. The Caliente was able to score against the Diamonds' defense, but couldn't seem to stop their offense. "They are an extremely strong team and took us out of our game," said Caliente General Manager, Jennifer Cada, "but we are definitely looking forward to the rematch in two weeks when they come to our house to play.'"

CALIENTE STOP AFTERSHOCK'S WINNING STREAK
(September 11th, 2004)The Arizona Caliente came into the game looking to put a stop to the Aftershock's winning steak, and did just that. Starting out strong with a 25 yard field goal kicked by #22 Amy Lewis, the Caliente took the early lead that this time, they would keep the whole game. Playing four solid quarters of football, the Caliente was able to send the Aftershock back to Long Beach with a loss.

CALIENTE SURGE, BUT AFTERSHOCK HANG ON FOR VICTORY
(September 5th, 2004)The Arizona Caliente headed to California to avenge their August 21st loss. Although the Caliente would surge to a near comeback in the second half, the Aftershock were able to hang on for the victory. With the Caliente now on the bottom end of a 0-2 record against the Long Beach team, can the Aftershock sweep the series? Look for the Caliente to defend their honor on September 11th, 2004. This time...it's personal!

CALIENTE TAKE THE STINGER OUT OF THE SCORPIONS
(August 29th, 2004) Although a terrific effort by the Scorpions, the Caliente pulled out the win. Scoreless until the second half, the Caliente were the first to score (although the extra point was blocked) so when the Scorpions answered, SoCal took a lead of 7-6 at the end of the 3rd. The Caliente quickly took control and scored bringing it to 14-7, but would throw away their final opportunity to score in the red zone with less than 2 minutes on the clock as the Caliente fumbled on the 4 yard line and SoCal recovered. The Scorpions maintained that possession, but could not capitalize.
Offensive Player of The Game: #21 Jennifer Tischaefer
Defensive Player of The Game: #92 Kim "EQ" Hoke

LONG BEACH AFTERSHOCK WALKS AWAY WITH THE WIN
(August 21st, 2004) The "Best of the West" in their first meeting this year ended with the Aftershock taking control of the fourth quarter and scoring 14 game deciding points with less than 6 minutes left on the clock. Although both teams stepped onto the field undefeated, only the Aftershock walked off that way, sealing the top spot in the Division...for now. The two teams will meet again in Long Beach on September 4th and return for the third game in the series in Arizona on September 11th. This rival is one of the best in women's football, and the rematches shouldn't be missed!
