The Caliente showed the SunFire that their third meeting was the charm for the Caliente. On December 15th in front of their home crowd, and regrouping from the continued plague of recent injuries, the Caliente proved they have what it takes to win. Outstanding performances by both teams defensively made it a battle to the very end, but with less than a minute remaining and with the SunFire ahead 10-6, the Caliente offense delivered. Achieving prime scoring position thanks to both #28 Latta (RB) and #44 Garner (TE) Caliente QB #10 Corbett threw the winning TD 5 yards to #24 Meservy who found the opening in the end zone.
