The Caliente 7 - SanDiego Sunfire 24

Fans were treated to a great game for the first 3 Quarters in which both teams were held scoreless. It was in the 4th Quarter that the game became heavily heated as Caliente QB Kim Corbett went down with an injury, and it was then the Caliente defense stepped in to make the first score for either team. # 5 Akeshia Witcher ran back a blocked field goal attempt for 90+ yards, and quite possibly the Caliente "Play of the Year". The PAT was good and the score was 7 - 0 going into the SunFire's run.

The Caliente played a hard game, but in the end the SunFire took advantage of an injured Caliente QB, and continued to push and push the strong Caliente defense. The rivalry continues to burn as the Caliente will take on the SunFire again December 15th at home, for the teams final in-season match-up in a game that is sure to be intense both on and off the field.
